KarenKaren Corleto: PhD Student, Dept of Nutrition
Karen earned a Bachelors of Science from the University of Houston in Human Nutrition and Foods with a minor in Kinesiology and her master’s degree in Nutrition from Texas A&M University. She joined the Giles lab in May of 2018 to pursue a PhD.  Her research interests are on plant bioactive compounds and their effects on the development of chronic disease such as cancer

 

 

Tara Mahmood: PhD Student, Dept of Nutrition
Tara completed both her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Human Nutrition at Arizona State University. She joined the Giles Lab and Department of Nutrition at Texas A&M in Fall of 2019.

 

 

 

Danilo Landrock:  Technician
Danilo was trained as a Laboratory Animal Technologist in Germany prior to coming to Texas where he earned a Masters in Biomedical Science at Texas A&M. He worked in the Department of Pathobiology at Texas A&M until joining the Giles lab in 2018.  Danilo is the rat whisperer in the lab, and keeps all of our animal studies under control.

Sarina Obeid:  MS, Biomedical Science
Sarina graduated with a BS in Biomedical Science from  Texas A&M, and recently graduated with  a non-thesis Master’s degree in Biomedical Science.  She is hoping to eventually become a physician’s assistant. Sarina started in the Giles lab as an undergraduate student worker in September, 2016 and was our resident “lab organizer.”
